About Me

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Jake Rizzi, and I'm an actor, singer, and educator based in Manhattan. I grew up here in the city, starting my musical theatre career at the age of 9 in my school's production of Seussical, as none other than the Cat in the Hat himself.

Since starring as the Fedora'd Feline, I've gone on to continue cultivating my love for theatre and performance however I can. I attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, where I studied vocal performance, and graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in May 2023 with a BFA in Musical Theatre. While at Marymount, I was able to explore other areas of theater that I am passionate about, such as music direction, stage management, as well as improv and sketch comedy.

Last year, I made my regional theatre debut in The Argyle Theatre's production of A Bronx Tale, directed and choreographed by Todd L. Underwood with music direction by Jonathan Brenner. In April, I'll be performing in Cooking With Butter?, a new musical by Annie Brown, performing Off-Broadway at the Players Theatre in NYC from April 3 - 20!

Another passion of mine is sharing my love of theatre with others! Since 2020, I've served as music director for various productions at P.S. 290 in Manhattan. This year, we're doing Meredith Wilson's The Music Man!

When I'm not in a theatre, you can find me exploring (or rather, getting lost) in nature, honing my photography skills, or hunting down the best soft pretzel in all the land!

Nature!

Pretzels (yum)!
